Why choose a string quartet?

A string quartet consists of 2 violins, a viola and a cello and is one of the most popular and versatile musical ensembles available. The quartet is capable of performing a great variety of musical styles from the more formal classical music of Mozart and Haydn right up to modern pop songs by bands such as Take That, Coldplay and Snow Patrol. This makes it ideal for weddings as we can cater for almost all special requests.

What kind of events do you perform at?

The vast majority of our performances are for wedding ceremonies and receptions. We also perform at corporate dinners, launch events, birthday parties and special occasions such as anniversaries and private functions.

How much space do you need?

Generally speaking, most venues will have enough space to accommodate a string quartet. The typical space we require is 4m x 2m for a comfortable performance. If you are unsure if your venue will have enough space for a quartet then please get in touch and we will be happy to advise.

How much does it cost?

Each event we perform at is unique and factors such as playing time, travel distance/time and special music requests influence the price we charge. To get a quote tailored to your specific needs please get in touch. The booking deposit is £100 and a booking form can be sent on request.

Can you perform outdoors?

We are happy to perform outside when weather condition permit and suitable cover is available. Generally speaking, we are unable to perform where the outdoor temperature falls below 13°C, there is excessive wind or there is a risk of rain. Playing a string instrument requires a lot of manual dexterity and performing in cold surroundings risks an injury to the musicians or damage to the instruments. String instruments are extremely sensitive to direct sunlight, rain and changes in temperature. If you wish us to perform outside please advise us at the point of booking, particularly if your event falls between the months of October – March.

What do you wear?

Our normal dress for events is smart black. For more formal events, men can dress in Dinner Jackets and ladies in long black for that extra air of sophistication.
